The holidays are here and you have parties, occasions and meeting your boyfriends parents... yeah that last one is stressful enough. So I have created a look book to give you some ideas, tips and options to hopefully make whatever occasion you are attending a little bit more fun.
You will see a section for the office Christmas party, the family picture day, and two options on how to dress for meeting your boyfriends parents; one is more dressy casual the other is more laid back, comfortable but still fashionable casual. There will be more to come for gift ideas for the holiday season and a look book to get ready to bring in the new year.

Bathroom Re-vamping : )
So I completely re did my bathroom by accident. I never had an intention to redo my bathroom decor but.... I saw something at my local Wal-mart that just spoke to me and spoke to me I threw it in my cart a long with everything that matched and then some. I'm still excited and I did it 4 days ago.
Now the people who know me know that I love shoes... Heels, Stilettos.. It's a proven fact that I can not live without them. Well this bath room curtain and full set I seen has leopard print, which I also love, and small glamour items and quotes like; Red carpet ready, Some like it hot, a pic of a dress, purse and purfume bottle and some jewelry. Well out of no where I pick up this towel and I see a heel and it says I love stilettos and I was sold!!! There was no way I was leaving Wal-Mart with out this set.
Well if that doesn't say it all then I have no idea what does.. lol I started there then I just couldn't stop.. If this goes a little fast for you... well.. I still can not control my excitement and over a bathroom.. I'm terribly sorry.
: )
Now that bath rug isn't an ordinary bath rug... It absorbs water and is made of memory foam.. The one most comfy thing I have stepped on out of the shower and just standing there doing my makeup.. RECOMMEND IT! It is also slick proof. I know of some older people who have these helps their feet or something. All I know it matches my bathroom : )
Now I naturally had to get some other matching items that they were offering in the bathroom set. Such as the tooth brush holder, some towels and some small accent colors that were in the decor to begin with and I chose the maroon to go with rather than the full animal print.
I am very happy that I went with the maroon accent and not the animal print because I then went to Family Dollar and found the perfect pictures to put on the walls. I found these by accident and they had my maroon in them but they also had like a glamor girl feel to them AND... there was leopard in the pictures as well... I just hit the jackpot.
I love how they show different parts of a bathroom. If I had a huge dream bathroom... This is exactly how it would be. It's cool how things just tie in like this and I'm happy I accidentally decided to re decorate. : )
So that is my fun lil frenzy I just had to share. I do not decorate spaces that often so this one was a big one for me and that fact that I actually like going into my own bathroom now lol Amazing on what some color and animal print can do for a girl : )

For the parents- Thrift shopping for kids
I normally show my fashion and beauty shops but this one is for the parents to really see what they can find at a thrift store for their kids. I have a 3 1/2 year old son and since his birth I have noticed how the bigger he becomes the more expensive his clothing is. If you agree with me I am never happy about paying over $20 for a pair of children's pants that he will grow out of in sometimes a month. I pay $20 for my own jeans but I'm not growing anymore so I can keep those same jeans for years.. I thrift shop more for my son than I do for myself simply because he grows so fast and I'd be throwing away money. So parents your kids do not have to have all those expensive clothes well you can find them easily at a thrift for sometimes just $1.95 : ) I got some of these clothes for my son my last visit to my local Goodwill. Each item is $1.95 and jeans are $2.95.
This very nice button up shirt I found at the goodwill in 4th from the Gap. Not one stain and it was like it was never worn, no fading or anything very great condition.
These two shirts came from Children's Place that I found at the Goodwill. both in 4t and in great condition. Just like being it brand new. I like Children's Place but their prices are becoming outrageous.
This is a yellow and baby blue striped button up shirt from Kennith Cole Reaction in 4t. I was on a role with finding like new shirts for my son at the Goodwill. Very pleased with the items and again I saved a lot of money from if I were to buy these brand new. The first shirt I would have been over $20.. So in tough times it's okay to shop thrift for your children especially when they are younger they grow so fast why pay for for high prices when they will probably ware them for a month.

Goodwill fun thrift shopping
Shopping at the Goodwill is fun when you find some great things at a fantastic price. I usually do not go very often but my son and I were chilling out today and we went to a couple places this afternoon. I did not go crazy but just wanted to share some things that I did find that I was happy that I got.
I decided to go through the tower of cd's. Usually it's oldies, or music I've never heard of or interested in getting to know.
So I got this Avril Lavigne cd, in pretty good condition I was surprised because even my own cds dont look this great lol. But I've always been an Avril fan. I have her first cd and I havent bought a cd in some time.... thanks ipod and iphone but I'm happy with this one.
Taking it back to the old days lol okay the 90's Space Jam was a great movie when I was younger and one of my favorite soundtracks. Michael Jordan plays basketball with Looney Tunes. Good shap I didnt see one scratch and not to mention this is the soundtrack where R. Kelly's I believe I can fly was a huge hit and I can say still is : )
Katy Perry's cd was even at the Goodwill. I already have it but I bought it for my mom. She's a fan like me and when we are in my car I always play it so now she can listen in her car and add it to her ipod. I never expect to find newer cd's at Goodwill so I had to get this and I will probably start looking a little more in the cd section and again it's in very good condition.
Simple and white : ) Well I need more white shirts for my job and since I was there I just went and looked for one. This is a simple Liz Claiborne polo. It's clean and bright... Just simple work shirt for me.
Now this is probably the best find of the day. Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. This was glass cased two disk set it was $4.95 but weekly they have colors that are half price. This had a green sticker on it and this is green week so I pretty much got this for $2 : ) very happy camper here : )
I am very happy with what I found at the Goodwill today, I usually never find anything I'm very excited about so I may start going through the cds a little closer. I do not go through the clothes as much because they just have so many and I don't like being at one place for hours at a time so maybe one day I'll find something : )
Happy Thrift shopping

JustFab.com everything is $39.95
I wanted to talk a little bit about this website called JustFAb. It's a fashion site where you get "personalized" people to pick out shoes, purses and jewelry for you monthly. The items picked are determined by your style, you sign up and answer some questions here and there. All items are $39.95 free shipping... wow right I have purchased a par of shoes from them a couple months ago. They came pretty quick and came with a cute black draw string bag. Now if you get some shoes in you boutique you absolutely do not like you can either skip the month or ask for a new selection. Be sure to rate the items in your boutique as well so they know what to get for you the next month. Here is the catch, if you do not buy anything for that month your account will be credited the $39.95 for future use. Now I called and talked to customer support and they straight up said there is no member ship fee... but right in the righting of clicking on the credit it say if you do not buy or skip the month by the 5th of that month you will be charged a membership fee that will be used as a credit for you to use later at anytime... so if you do not want to get money taken from you and they will not give it back to you be sure to skip the month. Well I have 5 credits lol and I got some items coming in. After I use them I will be canceling because I just keep forgetting to skip the month and $39.95 starts to add up... I will do a review/haul of those items. I have shoes, a purse and jewelry coming in and they were all $39.95 all free shipping.
The website is a good idea but i HIGHLY do not agree with them taking $39.95 our of your account if you forget to skip the month I'm sorry that just is not right and they refuse to give you your money back and make you buy something.. so I say sign up at your own risk, i'm on the fence.. they have cute things but their business.... I am not happy with so when Items come in look out for a review and haul it should be in about 6-10 days for shipment.

Thrift store haul local Salvation Army
I normally find myself at the Goodwill here in Jacksonville, but I was in the area and decided to try out some thrift shopping at our local Salvation Army. Both places have great programs to help those less fortunate so I encourage any and everyone to shop at both locations in their area because all of their money does go to great causes and I have proof of that so if you want some just ask : )
Any who I did some shopping at my local Salvation Army and it is a decent size store for my town and the location. I did find some nice clothing items some not so great. I will be honest... I could have been better impressed but it's a thrift store I'm not going to be picky. There were some name brand tops I had seen Abercrombie, Hollister etc and prices were great some $2 tops and $4 jeans so very happy shopping for those who love thrifting. I did not go crazy and actually only picked up three items.
Okay this top is super cute, fits perfectly and it just beautiful on me. it is all pink with white polka dots and the bottom is trimmed with pink lace to match the fabric on the entire shirt and the upper back of the shirt is cut out with crossed fabric. Not showing too much skin but showing some off. The top came from Vanity, in Springfield about 30-40 min from Jacksonville. White Oaks mall has a Vanity store and they are pretty nice priced store but I have noticed the quality is not the greatest so I personally do not shop there too often.
This shirt I really just got for work. I have to wear a white top at one of my jobs and I was never a huge fan of white because I always got it dirty so I am on the urge of buying white tops right now. This top is from Duck Head Jeans Co. I have seen a lot of Duck Head at the Goodwill so I am semi familiar with this brand.
For the reader in all of us I bought this book Blind Eye by John Morgan Wilson. My friend John will be very proud of me : ) ( Not the author a different John) I am a pretty big book reader when I sit down and read. Once I start I cant stop. I can read multiple books in a month back to back. So I read the back of the book and it sounded very interesting. Benjamin Justice is a journalist trying to figure out his life from his past and how he wants it to go for the present while trying to piece his life together he has to work on a case with a friends wife getting murdered. It sounds exciting : )
So I hope that gave you your thrift store haul fix a good viewing. I may try and stop in the Salvation Army a little bit more often. I honestly forget we have one because I'm not normally in that area much and find myself at the Goodwill ten times more. So I will check in there a little more and see what other finds I can come across. Happy Thrifting.
